Welcome honored guests! To the Grey Leaf Inn... Come by the fire....and have a pint on us! Tells where you hail from, friend...tell us the story of your journeys and what brought you to our doorsteps Me? Oh, pardon me My name is Parador~J. I hail from the great lands of Gondor (South Texas) I am the founder of The Texas Tolkien Society: Dol Amroth through the Fellowship of other Tolkien fans. A blessed thank-you to my longtime friend of Fangorn Forest, Entwifelost, for being so patient with me in bringing this to fruitation so we could begin building the new Texas Smial. I've known of Tolkien since my earlier years as an Enting, lol:) My two sons grew up with Tolkien. My love for Tolkien is as deep as the Mines of Moria and as long as the hollow tunnels of Hobbiton. I am a member of TORC which is formly TolkienOnline since 2001)...and whether I am here or there...now and then...I'll always support that wonderful and magical website and all those who hail from there! I am also a member of The White Tree Fund...a great place to be! It was there that another of my long time friends (founder of The White Tree Fund) Lara, suggested the title Dol Amroth It was a perfect name for our new Texas Smial We hope many of the Free People of Middle-earth will be as excited as we are in making this place and our Moots a magical and fun experience for generations to come ... filled with old and new friends alike Please...come in and join us ** raises her mug of Ent draught to all those who enter**

WELCOME FINE FOLK!TORCIES, RINGERS, LOTR's, GAMERS, PURISTS, MOVIE BUFFS, BOOK & ART LOVERS! Dol Amroth's port is open! This Entwife welcomes you with open branches, to the sprouting of the Texas Tolkien Society "Dol Amroth". The founding of this Smial, was created by "fellowship in Tolkien". By his works alone, a few folks in Texas found themselves "mooted" across many miles, many years ago. I hope you will find the same fellowship, and a broadened enlightment of Tolkiens works and his life through Fellowship in the Smial!! So much is planned and we are working to build the foundation of the society and its functions! I am Entwife Lost "Enty", the Steward of DolAmroth! No matter my real name, when ya meet me youll just call me "Enty". (Or UNT as Parador likes to say!) I also hail from South Texas, but currently reside in Central Texas, among the oak clogged hills! I have so much gratitude for our Founder, Parador (I call her PJ), for without her hands, her words, her vision and determination to make life "A Middle Earth worth living" , the Society would not have the ship on which to Sail to Dol Amroth. I am also a TORC'er. Tolkien Online was the spawning ground for many a Middle Earth friendship, and for the first real Texas Moot, and many small and large gatherings that followed! I will be at Tolkien Online for "the Long Haul" "For Fangorn" "For the Eldar!!"! My real inspiration comes from Tolkien himself, whose book i read as a young teenager... and whose words and books, made for friendships under "Trees." I love collecting the old edition books, and love finding something new, he wrote or drew, or even remarked about. The discovery of those little leaflets, broaden my appreciation of the works I have spent countless hours, reading, or basically getting "lost" in. Now there are plenty more stories about gatherings, names, people, books, movies, languages and such, but now we want to know about YOU! "Mithrellas Grey Leaf Inn", always has a warm drink and a friendly smile! ;D Hail and Well Met! (Very well, If I may sayso.) ~ Entwife Lost "Enty"

**a curious Elven wanderer meanders in, sees a nice cozy fire and a comfy seat, perfect for listening to tales and songs, and sinks gratefully into it** Howdy ladies!! I luuurve everything about this place. It's so beautiful and so relaxing. It's so inviting! You guys did a really excellent job! **grabs Enty and Parador in a BIG SQUISHY HUG** In the Tolkien fan community I hail from War of the Ring. net ("WotR" 'cuz I'm way to lazy to keep typing it out, ) and The White Tree Fund. In Middle-earth, I hail from Imladris. And in the 'real' world I live up here in Toronto. I have one young lad, he'll be 10 this summer. 10!!! It's hard to believe when just yesterday I could have sworn he was waddling after me in his diapers. I've been reading the Professor's work since I was about 11 or 12, so I feel like I've grown up mostly inside Middle-earth. It's weird because I only recently became interested in the academic side of studying Tolkien, before I just loved to read the books and not much else. Now I love poring over HoMe and academic stuff almost as much as I like reading the books! I'm looking forward to everything Dol Amroth will do! And more than anything, looking forward to hanging out here with you!

Hi all! This place is amazing! *sits down in a nice cushy chair beside Lara* I'm Gerda and like Lara I live in Toronto and I've been reading the Professor's words since I was 17. LotR is the only book where I've read the last word on the last past, turned to the front of the book and started reading again. It wasn't until the movies came out that I found out I wasn't the only hobbit/ent/elf/etc out there. Through the Gathering of the Fellowship in Toronto in 2003 I met so many wonderful friends. I'm very happy to be a member of this fine community. Tolkien Fans Rock! ;D

Arwen steps in to the inn weary from her journey:
AIYA !! Glad to be among you fine folk. I journeyed here to Texas from Hawaii where I was (and still am by long distance) a member of Tol Andune, the Hawaii Tolkien Society since 2001. A friend there, told me about this new group and I am so thrilled about it. Moved here to Northeast Texas (yup, with those northern rangers, dangerous folk they are.) just over a year ago and love it. The people. the landscape, the farms; just reminds me of the Shire so much. I live on a small lake, and it feels like I'm in the Grey Havens. Texas is so beautiful, expecially as seen through the eyes of a "Ringer". Feels so Middle Earth compared to crowded Oahu. So, I look forward to my new "home" in Dol Amroth, and getting to know all of you.
Mae Govannen!

*looks up briefly from her third bowl of chilli stew* Ooh, every time someone else walks into the inn my stomach does another leap of excitment. Make sure you try the stew with Butterbur's newly arrived shipment of Bree beer.
I hope one day I'll be able to come down and go to one DA's events! I know it's going to be sooooooo much fun. *goes back to the stew* Can't let it get too cold heh heh.

Well, ladies.. and erm any gents too.
I went to three tolkien based websites to try and garner interest and was pretty much ignored, at two of the sites, no reply to my emails at all. I AM sorry.
I hope the press release brings folks to here. It really is lovely to look at.
Sorry I haven't seen any of you back at TORC either.

Hey, Rwhen The problem here is we need more people to join. It helps to have people to interact with...and to help build the community. I need other peoples ideas...I don't want just my own....it helps to have diversity. I know Enty is been very busy. We were suppose to get together...but at the time Texas was getting mega rain! We're still trying to dry out. So we held off. I need to call her. We had some ideas...just need to implement them. I won't be taking a class this Fall, Rwhen....if I pass the Nurse Entrance Test this month...then school will begin next Spring. So...I would love to do some RPing I haven't been on TORC in so long...I feel lost in there. Where do you post at mainly, Rwhen? I'm not giving up on this place...no way, lol:) Just need some help....

But, yet...I don't want to give up on it. I feel The Texas Tolkien Society has potential.... Just need peoples help...and encouragement. I plan to do some work on this place this coming weekend. See what I can do to get people interested. Suggestions anyone? Rwhen....I'll email you... I know you had some ideas
