The following article describes the experience of Parallels customer Jim S., who found us through our advocacy program. Thanks to Jim S. for sharing this event with us and now allowing us to share it with you. That's why Parallels Desktop makes Jim's life easier. "Unfortunately, some of the Windows programs I need are not available on Mac OS X. One particular program is particularly important to me - it manages my blood cell phone number list sugar results and sends the data to my doctor. The device is called Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM), which measures my blood sugar levels every 5 minutes, day and night. Tiny sensors located under my skin measure the glucose levels in my body. The transmitter on the sensor sends information to my doctor's PC and my Mac (using Parallels Desktop). The monitor displays my blood sugar levels every five minutes and triggers an alarm if my blood sugar levels drop dangerously low or rise too high to a preset value. Not only does it help me avoid emergencies, it also allows my doctor to determine how much insulin I should take, what exercise plan is appropriate, and how many meals I need each day. CGM device manufacturers have no plans to develop OS programs where I can send real-time data to my doctor and have the peace of mind that I will be notified if something goes wrong. Now I realize that this is a very trivial use of Parallels Desktop considering the scope of the software's functionality, but it makes my life a lot easier.
